Jean-Louis Rudaz and a group of friends built Les Ecureuils, a block of flats in Les Collons for sale. He moved into a small office and at the same time opened the first tourist office in Les Collons.

Crésence, his sister-in-law, joins him. She takes care of the rental, cleaning and bedding.

The same group, Les Collons Promotion, is constructing the La Maya building. Jean-Louis is joined by his brother Freddy and they create the company Jean-Louis et Freddy Rudaz SNC.

The small office became too cramped and the agency moved to the Theytaz family's premises at La Dent-Blanche.

With the retirement of Crésence and Freddy, Jean-Louis et Freddy Rudaz SNC is ceasing operations. Jean-Louis, then President of the Vex commune, met Thomas Heitland, a young entrepreneur who had spent his entire childhood on the pistes of Les Collons. Knowing the region inside out, the 2 men joined forces to create Agence Rudaz Sàrl. Jean-Louis devotes his time to his branch in Vex and to representing Banque Cantonale du Valais.

Nadine Rudaz, Jean-Louis's daughter, joins the agency on a part-time basis.

The new "Agence Rudaz Sàrl" rents premises on the ground floor of the La Maya building, formerly known as La Source, and moves into its new offices at 97 Rue des Collons, which are still in use today.

After 5 years as Managing Director, Thomas Heitland decided to return to his passion, sport. He now owns his own bike hire company. Nadine took over her shares and has been managing the business ever since.
